Conor McGregor's big announcement that makes his empire bigger: He bought BKFC

Conor McGregor's influence continues to grow as he ventures into new territories.

The former two-division UFC champion revealed during the BKFC KnuckleMania 4 card on Saturday night that he is now a part-owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships.

In a video message aired before the co-main event, McGregor proudly announced the deal that would see him become a sizable part of the BKFC ownership structure.

"'The Notorious' Conor McGregor here... Conor McGregor myself and McGregor Sports and Entertainment is now an owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships," he explained.

Acknowledging BKFC president David Feldman, McGregor expressed his excitement.

"Welcome to the big leagues. David Feldman, baby, we did it," McGregor declared.

Triller will continue to act as majority owner

While Triller remains the majority shareholder of the promotion, McGregor Sports and Entertainment joins as a significant part owner.

McGregor's involvement with BKFC isn't entirely new; he made an appearance at a BKFC event last year and even hinted at competing for the organization. However, with his upcoming bout against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June, McGregor has opted for a different role within the bare-knuckle world.

Prior to this announcement, McGregor's brands, Proper Twelve and Forged Irish Stout, served as sponsors for BKFC events. Now, with his ownership stake, McGregor's influence is expected to significantly impact BKFC's growth and reach.

BKFC president David Feldman expressed optimism about the partnership.

"I think it's just going to move the needle tremendously... We're going to do a lot of big things. We're going to open up a lot of new markets," he stated.

With McGregor's renowned promotional abilities and star power, BKFC is poised to attract even more attention and become an enticing destination for fighters looking to test their skills in bare-knuckle competition.
