Another Earthquake with 4.8 Magnitude Jolts Balochsitan

QUETTA: Different areas of Balochistan on Monday once again felt tremors of 4.8 magnitude on Richter scale, local media reported.

In the recent days, Balochistan province has been hit with quakes of varying intensities. A wave of panic gripped the people in several cities where tremors were felt and they came out of their homes reciting Kalima Tayyaba.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre said that the depth of the quake was 30 km with its centre 76 km east of Zhob. In another quake in Balochistan last days tremors of 5.6 magnitude on Richter scale had also hit different areas of the province.

Another Earthquake with 4.8 Magnitude Jolts Balochistan

An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale shook Khuzdar and its adjoining parts in Balochistan on late Wednesday night.

People came out of their houses in panic and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran. No loss of property and life was reported from any part of Khuzdar and adjacent areas due to quake.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad said that the epicenter of the quake was located 72 km northwest of Khuzdar at the depth of 43 km.

This was the 4th earthquake that hit Balochistan province in the past 72 hours. Quakes were also felt in different parts of Balochistan including Quetta on Tuesday and Wednesday. The epicenter of the quake was southwest of Quetta.
